CALmatters hires first two reporters, adds LA Times veteran to its board

Leaders of CALmatters, a new public interest journalism venture, today announced that Kate Galbraith, formerly of The New York Times and The Texas Tribune, and Laurel Rosenhall, formerly of The Sacramento Bee, are the first two reporters to join the non-profit’s newsroom where they will develop stories about how the state Capitol works and why it matters. Leo C. Wolinsky, a former Los Angeles Times editor and reporter, will also join the CALmatters board of directors.
