solar

Here’s a four-part vision on roof-top solar that looks beyond the arguments, is consistent with our values and gets us where we need to go.

We must start now to develop the grid of the future that will bring clean energy produced remotely to consumers in urban centers.

The CPUC wants to slap a new “solar tax” on rooftop solar consumers and slash compensation for power they supply to the grid.

Modernizing the state’s net metering program has to do with the fact that non-solar customers pay more to subsidize solar customers.

PG&E customers pay 80% more than national average.

The network of utilities and operators running California’s electric grid must create a more flexible, sustainable system.

Solar, wind and batteries are critical to California’s clean energy future, but they are not enough. Here’s how to diversify the state’s renewable energy portfolio.

California will need to more than double renewable energy capacity in the next 10 years, and state leaders have to plan for that expansion.

Changing regulations in California would help keep the lights on by enabling customer-owned solar-charged batteries to provide energy to the grid.

A regional electric grid coordinating diverse power resources with neighboring states and modernized grid planning would help California avoid blackouts.
