Dan Hu

Dan Hu is the Director of Partnerships at CalMatters, where he interfaces with local and national publications, nonprofits, government staff, libraries and schools to maximize the impact of our journalism at the community level. In 2024, he spearheaded the VotingMatters event series which brought people together in casual venues across the state to discuss the CalMatters Voter Guide in-person. Previously, he was the executive director of The Yappie and a fellow at The Texas Tribune. He serves on the boards of LION Publishers and the Glen Nelson Center at American Public Media Group.
