Carol Pogash

Carol Pogash is a Bay Area author and journalist whose stories appear in The New York Times, The Guardian and other publications. She learned how to be a journalist by being an on-air reporter for KQED Newsroom. She then moved to the San Francisco Examiner where she was a breaking news reporter, columnist and cover story magazine writer. She is the author of three books: As Real As It Gets: The Life of a Hospital at the Center of the AIDS Epidemic,” which Randy Shilts called “One of the finest works I’ve ever read on the AIDS epidemic.” Seduced by Madness: The True Story of the Susan Polk Murder Case, about a woman who murdered her husband who had been her therapist when she was a teenager, and Quotations from Chairman Trump, a little red book of Trump quotes, an early warning of what was to come.
