Re “Is California’s last youth fire camp worth saving?”;  June 8, 2020

From what I read in this article, it’s really a no brainer. The words of those who experienced the fire camps and we’re so much better for it, say it all.

I would rather see my tax dollars doing double duty. 1. Turning a young person’s life around. 2. Performing a great community service. I can’t think of another way you could combine those for less money and get a greater return.

Wish we had a fire camp in Calaveras County.
