Janelle Salanga is the the assistant campus news editor of The California Aggie, UC Davis’s student-run paper, where she reports on grassroots movements, creates engagement initiatives and puts together newsroom workshops. She is a part of CalMatters' inaugural College Journalism Network fellowship cohort and comes to CalMatters through the Emma Bowen Foundation. Originally from Tracy, her first journalism stint was at the Tracy Press; once she graduates, she hopes to continue reporting in the Central Valley.
